Conservation Commission plans knotweed removal strategy with town officials

CT COLEBROOK — Colebrook Conservation Commission meets on invasive species removal strategy. The Commission discussed its multi-town Japanese knotweed project and advanced planning for removal along town roads and adjacent private properties, with 21 identified locations. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for April 21 with First Selectman Brad Bremer and Public Works Director Bill Jasmin to discuss project scope and volunteer recruitment, including possible engagement with the regional vocational agriculture program.
The Commission scheduled a Beaver Pond walk for June 6 led by Army Corps of Engineers representative James Jylkka and confirmed plans for the April 25 Cleanup Day.
