NRRA discusses Torrington Transfer Station acquisition strategy

CT COLEBROOK — Regional authority meets on transfer station acquisition. The five-member Northwest Resource Recovery Authority board held a special virtual meeting on April 16 to discuss legal strategies for acquiring and operating the Torrington Transfer Station and hiring a strategic advisor. Torrington Mayor Molly Spino, Norfolk First Selectman Henry Tirrell, and Goshen First Selectman Seth Breakell attended as guests.

The board entered executive session to consider the acquisition; no public votes were taken. The authority is advancing its plans to acquire the Torrington Transfer Station.
