Colebrook Planning and Zoning approves site plan; drafts horse-stable conditions

CT COLEBROOK — The Colebrook Planning and Zoning Commission approves site plan, advances two horse stables. Chairman Todd Correll and the commission approved a site plan for 1 Greenwoods Turnpike with parking restricted to Greenwoods Turnpike road or the applicant's driveway. Two special-exception applications from Allison McCallum for commercial horse stables at 139 Bunnell Street and 61 Phelps Road advanced after the commission drafted operating conditions including maximum horse populations of 15 and 10 respectively, quarterly manure removal in water-tight containers, designated parking and trailer storage, and operating hours from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Lessons and client training are restricted to 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
