Board of Finance reviews 2026-27 budgets; seeks education wage adjustment

CT COLEBROOK — Colebrook Board of Finance reviews draft 2026-27 budgets and questions education wage proposal. Chairman Thomas D. McKeon and the Board of Finance reviewed the Board of Education draft budget of $2,506,813.
The board expressed strong preference that the Board of Education reduce a proposed 4% wage increase for non-certified personnel to 3%, aligning with town employee rates. The Region 7 regional school district draft budget estimates Colebrook's 2026-27 assessment at $2,361,698, down $37,004 from the prior year.
