CT COLEBROOK — Colebrook approves $39,900 supplemental appropriation for school budget shortfalls in special town meeting. First Selectman Brad Bremer and Board of Finance Chairman Tom McKeon presented the request to address special education and health insurance shortfalls for the 2025/2026 fiscal year, mandated by state statute and contractual obligations. The motion, moved by Scott Norton and seconded by Aden J.
Ruwet, passed 41 to 4 by hand vote. Financing comes from an approximately $50,000 surplus in the Board of Selectmen's budget and will not increase the town's mill rate.
