Finance Board reviews two percent budget proposal

CT COLEBROOK — Board of Finance reviews two percent budget increase and capital plan. First Selectman Bradley Bremer presented the Board of Selectmen's draft fiscal year 2025-26 budget, showing a two percent overall increase with departments ranging from a 6.9 percent bump in Miscellaneous funds to a 6.0 percent cut in Town Hall Expenditures. Bremer also presented the revised five-year Capital Improvement Plan for fiscal year 2026-2027, requesting $350,000 in net funding from a total of $385,000 in projects, with $35,000 expected from a LOCIP grant.

The board reviewed budget worksheets and discussed adjustments to revenue figures and education budget requests.
