Resource recovery authority opposes service agreement termination

CT COLEBROOK — Resource recovery authority votes to oppose service termination. The Northwest Resource Recovery Authority board unanimously approved sending a letter to Commissioner Gilman expressing opposition to the early termination of Municipal Service Agreements, with motions moved by Michael Magistrali and seconded by Elinor Carbone. Board Chairman Dan Jerram acknowledged receipt of a request to convey the Torrington Transfer Station to the authority.
The board also unanimously established a new regular meeting schedule for the third Thursday of each month at 2 p.m., in a motion by Todd Carusillo seconded by Michael Magistrali. The Town of Salisbury officially joined the authority, with First Selectman Curtis Rand joining the board.
